I marked 3 and married on my w-2 form, and 4 and married on my nc-2 form. if you speck married, does it automatically add another 2 points or not? Will I owe the goverment, or will i carry anything back. I am married near one child. Please help i am to the point of tears.Answers: No justification to panic or basis for tears. You can always prepare a modern Form W-4 and the state version of this form to readjust your withholding. Your employer will own copies of the right forms. Follow the instructions on the Form W-4 and Form 1040ES to help you adjust your withholding. Ask your employer to sort it effective on your subsequent payday.
As long as you don't have to pay packet more than $1000 at the end of the export tax year (15 Apr), you're not likely to see penalty applied by the IRS. If any were imposed here are ways to seek nouns.

I believe the IRS requires all forms to be within the hands of the recipient by Jan 31st.

any method specifically reasonably defensible is ok -- surrounded by proportion to income, takehome pay, funds put into the shared account, etc. -- as long as you document your pretext.
