I have my son adjectives of Jan. and Feb. after 50 percent the rest of the year I wonder if I can claim him on taxes?
Live in PAAnswers: who ever have physical custody of the child for more then 6 months will draw from the first rights to claim the child
Well, that certainly meet one of the requirements.
If he lived with you for more than one partially of the year, then you ratify THAT test.
The other check is: Did your son provide at least partially of his own financial support for 2007? If he did NOT, then you are eligible to claim him.
Can anyone else claim that your son lived next to them for the same amount of time? (Example: If you separated and/or divorced at the call a halt of February, your former spouse might also be able to claim that your son lived beside them for all of January and February, and later 50% thereafter...in that travel case, either of you would be eligible to claim your son as a dependent, and the IRS have special tiebreaker rules for that.)

Comparing Turbo Tax on-line and Turbo Tax software that you.?
purchase from say Wal-Mart. If I be doing several returns all wanting to efile which would be the cheapest process?Answers: They'll charge you either opening.
The purchased software *may* include one free efile.
If you make underneath a certain amount, you can report your taxes for free. If you need to buy your program, it's in actual fact cheaper right now to do it online instead of buying the program. My son merely got an e-mail from Turbo Tax and the Deluxe is simply $19.95 where it usually costs around $40.00 within stores and you get some stupid free payment with your purchase. I'd fairly save the money.
