You will not gain the credit for the college student.

Where is my money?

I filed my taxes on January 24th and I still own not gotten my federal return. I already got my state return not too long after I file. What the heck is going on. They said 8-15 days. Is that business days or just days adjectives together?

Answers: If you filed your taxes electronically and the IRS agreed the return after 11:00AM on Jan 24, you can expect your refund to be sent (if you elected direct deposit into your guard acct) tomorrow, 8 Feb.

If you asked for a check to be mailed, it should be sent on/or nearly 15 Feb.

It's not unusual for the federal process to take for a moment longer as they're processing far more returns than the states.

Good luck.
Unfortunately it means business days so you should be getting your return inside a week. You can call the IRS to check on the status of it and that will explain to you if they've sent it or not.

Is the 2008 rebate checks that we ae almost to receive really an advanced pay for my 2008 export tax discount?

Or is the 2008 rebate payment going to be a modern tax credit for 2008? How exactly will this effect my 2008 excise filing?

Answers: Yes, the rebate is an finance on your 2008 Federal Income Tax.

According to the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, taxes will be cut in 2008 from 10 percent to zilch percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

It's like a one time charge cut for 2008, but you get the rebate in a minute instead of waiting to file your 2008 taxes.

The 2008 charge forms should have a row for the new credit. When calculating taxes subsequent year, taxpayers will have to subtract what they get as a rebate check the previous summer.

One thing taxpayers won't enjoy to worry roughly speaking is giving back any excess if their 2008 taxes show that the credit this year was in fact more than they should have received. The ruling says the IRS can't get better the extra payment by reducing your 2008 compensation or adding to your 2008 due bill.
YES YES YES

When you file your 2008 taxes subsequent year you will have to claim that money
