When will we find out if we will get the $600 refund or not from the Govt?
Answers: As soon as big George signs it into law. Hopefully, that won't take long. The projections are for sometime in May or June, but I think that's a bit optimistic.
or maybe it could be used for a down payment for health insurance for a family that cant afford so much as a check-up due to ourfat a$$ rep greedy selves .
I filed my taxes with H&R block on the 13th and should get it within 8-15 days does it usually take that long?
Answers: Yes. There is a good chart the IRS publishes each year (Pub 2043) which gives one a good idea when to expect a refund when e-filing (filing electronically). E-fling is how H&R and most of the tax preparation businesses tend to work. It's faster and tends to limit errors. That IRS chart shows if one e-files between Jan 11-17, AND IF the IRS accepts the return (usually done within 24-36 hrs, if you have no errors) you can expect to have your direct deposit sent to your bank or credit union on 25 Jan (today!). Some banks take a day or two to credit the $ to your acct. If you asked for a paper check rather than direct deposit, it takes a bit longer...they estimate mailing it out on 1 Feb for taxpayers who file when you did.
Cheers!
if you chose direct deposit - you should have it today - if H&R Block transmitted before last Thursday
Why should those who don't reward taxes grasp a rebate?
The new rebate plan will offer $600 rebates to individuals, and $1,200 to married couples, and $300 to those who work but don't rate taxes. If they don't pay taxes, why should they win a rebate?Answers: Because they're more likely to SPEND anything they receive--because they don't have adjectives that much, thus stimulating the economy. The details are set within stone yet.
Because this is a "stimulus" and put together by politicians. People who don't rate taxes tend to also be the people who will spend money if you endow with it to them.
Actually, if you are wage earner and you variety $5000, you do pay taxes--$382.50 within fica/mc.
So...the rationale is we'll "refund" their ss taxes, but get them retirement credit anyway.
The pretext seems to be base on what they will do with the money.
The governing body needs family to spend this money not save it. The lower you budge down the income ladder the better indiscriminate that the money will be spent.
isnt the 300.00 for children, or is it for both children and those who dont pay taxes. Maybe its a irs undertaking to find out about those who dont pay cheque taxes (haha)
