Taxes Questions and Answers

Okay. It's January 25th. Why haven't I received my tax refund yet?

Answers: Simple it's January 25th. Did you even file yet? Your employer has until the 31st to mail out your W-2. Then when you file the IRS takes a day or two to accept your return. Then it is processed which can take 1-2 weeks. Then they either cut you a check which can take up to a week to get or they wire you the funds in an account which can take 2-3 days.
With the late decision on the alternative minimum tax and the big debate on the economic stimulus package, the IRS was saying that refunds would be slower this year. I would estimate closer to the 4-week range rather than the 2-week range people are used to when they electronically file this early and set up Direct Deposit.

Well, at least you'll have $600 coming in May or June (or July, or August, or September, or October)
There must be issues with the IRS, if you check around some have gotten refunds today and early as yesterday.
(1). Some are getting the same message as you still processing with a date of deposit today 1-25-08 and no deposit.
(2). Some got the message yesterday that their returns are being processed and their deposit date has changed from 1-25-08 to 2-19-08 because of processing delays. Maybe someone can shed some light on whats going on.
I fall under # 2
If you did direct deposit of your refund, the scheduled date for releasing your refund is today 1/25. If the refund was sent to your bank today, your bank may not show it on your account for another day or so. Your bank may be able to tell you that the deposit was received however, even if you do not have access to it until it is posted to you account.

You can verify that your deposit was sent by going to irs.gov and clicking on "Where's my refund." If there is a delay in sending your refund, it should be indicated.

If you requested a paper check instead of direct deposit, those checks take a week to print and get in the mail. The IRS schedule for the first refund checks to be mailed shows the date of February 1 for your check. You would get your check the first week of February.
Hi! I was supposed to get mine on the 25th also, and didnt get mine either.I have no answer about what the heck is going on,but I do know that some people DID get theirs as scheduled. We are the ones with bad luck and left broke! :( Let me know when you get yours, hopefully Monday we will get it!

PLEASE PLEASE I NEED YOUR ADVICE. what tariff braket will i be within if‏?

If i am head of household near one child. I make 116,000 a year and i be given a promotion to move to another location. They're giving me $95,000 one lump some before export tax and another $20,000 for the moving expenses and what ever is left over from that 20,000 we can maintain. But that will be taxed as economically .
And if we do take the $95,000 what will we be moved out with after taxes?

Answers: So you are not married later? If you are married even if your spouse does not work you are not allowed to report HOH. 95,000 will be taxed 45%. We can't transmit you what braket you will be in if you do not index your other deductions. Got to www.irs.gov.
Ouch! With adjectives that money coming in and moving expenses on their route, you're best bet is to talk to a rates professional. That's way too much money to mess beside if you're not an IRS agent or a tax professional. $95,000 contained by one lump sum pre-tax will make for one helluva import tax bill when it's paid out. That's as bleak as the tax they rob out of game show winnings, except the hobby show will figure that out for you.

Oh, the $20,000 get taxed, but as expected you deduct any and adjectives moving expenses (even if it's the boxes and tape) But check with a levy professional, because how far you move will affect it, too, as I discovered the hard bearing.

Is Anybody else still seize this message??

We have received your toll return and it is being processed. Unless we find mistakes or you owe other taxes, you should receive your discount by January 29, 2008.

Answers: I still have the exact same article on where's my refund? Maybe tomorrow
