Answers: As per payment of Bonus act only Basic and DA are considered for calculating bonus. But managements mostly enter into agreements with unions allowing allowances also for purposes of bonus. Alternatively managements while paying statutory bonus they give in addition an ex-gratia-a lump sum amount along with the bonus.
