Taxed double on W2 and 1099?
Last year I earned ~$11,000 from my university as a grad student and ~$8,000 as a 1099 consultant. After deduction and credits, my taxable income was ~$10,000.I run through an H&R block online tax program and the calculated export tax came to $2,300. Why is this almost double the charge payable for $10,000 in the 1040 rates tables?

About the unsullied charge rebate. If I gross $40,000 (single parent of 2) and owe 2007 taxes will I find a rebate?

You should file your income excise return just close to you normally do & earnings any tax you owe on it.
