If the IRS audits you, and finds you actually *underpaid*, do they cut you a check or just walk away?
Answers: If you underpaid your tax they will want the money. If by some chance they find you overpaid your tax (and this does happen) then you will be issued a refund.
You will get paid, but it will come through the central clearing house and take several weeks. You will also likely have to refile providing the IRS with full documentation of your misdoing.
Didn't report a W-2 for a undertaking I have final year- do I still enjoy time to w/o any penelties?
Also I might not have file the year before that - I have a part time assignment and deducted 0zero - I be scared I might owe so I didnt folder what should I do?Answers: Fill out the tax forms so you know if you owe, if you owe at hand will be penalties but chunk time you may not have earn much and if you had withholding could bring back a refund. If you are due a discount you need to folder to receive the money and you only hold 3 years so get it done since April 15th.
Is it best to file imcome taxes jointly or married filing seperate?
Answers: Hi. 85% to 90% of the time it is more advantageous to file "married filing jointly". There are times when one will have a lower income tax liability in filing "married filing separately". One would be if one spouse made a lot and the other spouse did not. If you had a large business loss or huge medical bills and medical insurance premiums, you could put it with the spouse who made little earnings and there's a possibility you would pay less tax. fortunately, the software can figure it for you so it is easy now. Before, it was a headache.
The other significant event would be if the husband suspects his wife is cheating on the taxes or the wife suspects her husband is cheating on the taxes. The innocent spouse would then file separately to avoid having her assets seized or even going to prison. So the IRS has some pretty efficient ways to spy.
For many of the 42 States and the District of Columbia that have income tax, it is advantageous to file jointly also. But not every State. You really have to ask around to be sure, or type in the form and test it.,
