Will anyone claiming the child care credit need to file at a later date this year?if so what date?

Answers: Anyone that files a 1040A form would claim the child care credit on Schedule 2 and that is the form that the IRS will not accept until February 11. Instead, a taxpayer may file a 1040 form and use the Form 2441 to claim the child care credit. The IRS is accepting this form.

The Schedule 2 and Form 2441 are alike except for which base return they are attached to.
You can use a 2441 form and attached it to your 1040 form, right now. There will be no delay.

Answers: Individual taxpayers would draw from up to $600 in rebate, working couples $1,200 and those with children an secondary $300 per child under the agreement. In a push button concession to Democrats, 35 million families who trade name at least $3,000 but don't repay taxes would get $300 rebate.
