Can someone facilitate me out beside my toll question?
I was still underneath the age of 24 during the year of 2007. I was not a student. Only be in the work force for 4 1/2 months. Live near under my parents roof of the time. Can my dad still claim me on his import tax returns? Would i still file my taxes if he claims me as very well? opinions or answer or steps to rob...etc...(If can help, I'm a mechanic at a shop for my occupation that i individual worked for 4 1/2 months this past year. I bought $2000 worth of tools. Would i know how to claim this in any route or is there a in no doubt standard i have to come upon.Answers: It is my understanding that if you are underneath 25 and a full time student, then he could claim you (but yes, you would still record taxes, noting that you are claimed on a parent's return as a dependent. If you be not a full time student, then I do not presume he can claim you at age 24.
As far as your filing go, yes you can claim the $2000 as an unreimbursed employee expense, however it is unlikely that you will enjoy enough deduction to bother itemizing, and will probably come out better just taking the standard estimate.
If you were a student for 5 months during 2007, you would qualify as a "student" below the tax law and almost certainly qualify as your parents' dependant. This ability, though, you'd have to reward taxes on your own income, with no credit for personal exemptions, and the "standard deduction" anyone only allowable against earn income, and the $2000 of tools _might_ be allowable as a deduction. You must folder if your earned income exceeds $5350 or your unearned income exceeds $850 or your gross income exceeds the larger of $850 and (your earn income + $300).
If not, and your gross earnings exceed the personal exemption amount (around $3100), next you cannot be claimed by your parents, and do not have to database a tax return unless your gross income exceeds the personal exemption amount plus the standard presumption (totally $8750?)
In either satchel, you must file and discharge taxes if you are considered "self-employed" and have over $433 contained by net income (the $2000 would qualify as a subtraction from gross income).

Answers: Yes
Yes, you can claim your daughter on your 2007.
This is a big advantage to having children.
Good luck.
Absolutely, however you will need to have her social security number. If you haven't gotten it yet, you may want to wait to file until after you receive it. Congrats on the new baby!
