W-2 Employer Cost?

I am mortgage agent contracted by a brokerage in the State of Nevada and hold always be an IC (1099). Due to recent legislation, certain transactions must very soon be paid on a W-2 spring. The brokerage has informed me that they must subtract 12.65% on all W-2 profits. This seems dignified to me. I was below the impression that their cost is deeply half of the self-employment levy (7.65%) plus state payroll tax (.63%). Does anyone know what the exact cost to the employer is?

Answers: You are correct. FICA toll is 7.65%.
There is also state unemployment due. That varies from company to company but is usually not big enough to cover the additonal percentage they are speaking of. But even if it be there is a decrease to that tax. It is not adjectives earnings.

There is also federal dismissal tax which is 56.00 per year.

It sounds to me similar to they are expecting you to pay the employer costs as very well as the employee costs. That sounds more close to the percentage they would be using. The employer and employee cost up to 97.500 is 12.4 % and the rest could be the other taxes I spoke of.

Is my dad REALLY helping me out, or is it to his own benefit?? I want to be able to maximize my return for the year, so would that mean having him transmutation the W2?? Oh yea, my reason for asking this in a minute, after yrs of the same style, is that since his acctountant always handle my return, I'm not even really sure how he does it, all I know is I don't gain what I think I should at the finishing of the year.
