Answers: You cannot deduct your rent as a speculation on your personal taxes. Are you claiming yourself? When you completed your W4 how many exemptions did you claim, as this determines how much rates is withheld? The student interest loan may not help depending on how much you remunerated.

15,000 minus the standard deduction of 5350 and the personal exemption if you are claiming yourself of 3,400 leaves a taxable income of 6350. How much duty was withheld from your wages?

Yes you obligation to include the 500 W2. Who ever is giving you tax guidance is wrong. Was the 15,000 on W2s or 1099s? This could be the problem.
Did you have any federal witholdings on your paychecks? If not, consequently yes, you probably owe money. And yes, you have to include your $500 W-2. If you are required to folder (and you ARE) then you must aver ALL of your income from all sources. In your situation (without more info) I am guessing that you will a short time ago be taking the standard deduction.

You can claim your student loan interest on rank 33 after completing the worksheet for it.
it all depends on how abundant exemptions you claimed on your w-4 when you started your new job. you probably put something down like 2. Just to be not detrimental I would make sure and other put 0 down for exemptions.
no you cannot claim rent as a deduction.

if you engender less than $54k you can move about to www.taxfreedom. com and do your taxes for free.
YES, you have to include ALL your income when you pay packet your taxes. You're taxed on the total amount you earn respectively year, not on each little piece of income individually.

What do you miserable, claiming your student loan interest "didn't help"? If you're entitled to claim that interest (which means if nobody else is claiming you as their dependent, and if your AGI is smaller number than $55,000) then you should know how to deduct the amount of your interest from your income -- so you would owe that much smaller quantity tax. Try running the numbers both near the interest deduction and lacking it -- you should see a difference. How much interest did you pay? It must enjoy been over $600 if you get a 1098E, right?
