Taxes Questions and Answers

No file of Income taxes?

I have not file my taxes for years. I am sixty years old and am afraid the IRS will finally come after me. I do not product enough money to earnings any high powered duty lawyers, and I do not generate enough for a lump sum repayment. I am sure that I owe within the thousands. Any help as to what I do??

Answers: Well I cannot assure you this is correct, but I've other been underneath the impression that as long as your withholding is sufficient, most citizens don't owe money. You are cheating yourself out of years of refunds unless you're not reporting income, which is toll evasion. It's always a perfect idea to directory your taxes, and if you can find your way to runeye.coms, I'm sure you'd hold no problem filing online. There are lots sites online where you can do them for $10 or smaller number. Unclaimed refunds are basically donations to the government. Best wishes, dear. :-)
make a contribution them a call and explain your situation.

they can impart you monthly installments on what you owe.
Depending on the number of years you are referring to will make a difference. If you believe you are due a return, then do not travel back more than three years. After three years the IRS are not required to repayment any money. However, if you owe they will strongly suggest you pay. Of course adjectives this depends on the amount of "taxable" income you have earn or if paying these back taxes pay for will place you in a financial poverty. IRS does not want to place you in a financial misery. Based on your one year annual income and your state of residency you may qualify to have your taxes prepared free of charge. Either contact IRS for information of the free tariff sites (IRS.gov, or 800.829.1040)or your council person.

If you contribute to a Roth IRA, is it really necessary to fill out a form 8606?

Answers: Speaking specifically about Roth IRAs, you only need to fill out form 8606 when you make a non-qualified distribution (basically, you took money out before you turned 59 1/2) or you moved money from a qualified retirement plan (IRA, SIMPLE, SEP) into the Roth.
Unless it was a conversion for a traditional, SEP or Simple IRS you do not need to use this form for a contribution to a Roth IRA
