Can I consent to my childs godfather claim her on his taxes?
I didn't work last year and he be very supportive. Can he claim her on his taxes. If so...What will he inevitability from me?Answers: Totally not. Even if he was "outstandingly supportive", he's not the father. biologically or adoptive. He'd have to be one or the other.
The IRS website can explain the "dependent" definition for you. I know they own to provide over half their support ($) and usually needed to own lived with that being part of the year.

no.
Probably not.
The occupancy "Godparent" means zilch to the IRS.
If the child lived with the human being for the entire year, the person may be capable of claim the child. If not, then NO!
The child is not the biological child of the godparent. The child is not the stepchild or foster child of the godparent, so the child cannot tumble under the IRS rules for qualify child.
The child did not live with the godfather Jan 1, 2007 to Dec 31 2007, so the child cannot qualify as bough of household.
Therefore, the godfather cannot claim the child as a dependent.
If she lived with him ALL year, and he provided over partly of her financial support for the year, and nobody else can claim her, it's possible that he might be able to claim her - otherwise no. If he meet the rules to claim her, then he wouldn't requirement your permission, and if he doesn't assemble the rules, you can't give him say-so.
Income duty press?
My ex husband has custody of my son. Per court instruct we take turns every two years of claiming him on our taxes. This is my year. When I claim my son, they ask what percentage of time he spends next to me and what percentage of his financial support I give him. He spends summer, spring break, holidays,,essentially any time he isn't in institution, with me. And I do foot child support. My question is..Can I claim that I enjoy him full time and claim to pay a highter percentage of his support than I do? I expect I will get more of a repayment if its ok.Answers: When a taxpayer claims a dependent, the taxpayer gets a $3,400 conjecture. Its all or nil, so claiming to provide more support or having the child more time than you do have absolutely no affect.
On another transcribe, you should take a step pay for and reconsider your arrangements. Although it wouldn't have worked, what you be considering is illegal.
no, you can officially only claim how much time you in fact have him, to do it any other method would be fraud
Question in the region of this tentative TAX BREAK?
I was a moment ago listening to the word and they said that there most probable will be a new levy break passed, that we will recieve in May. If you manufacture less than $ 95,000 a year you qualify. It is, I deem, $1,200 for an individual. Plus $300 per child. I have two children. I own already had my taxes calculated at H&R Block. I am confused as to weather this clean tax money is included contained by my tax money I will be getting support from H&R, or if it is not, and I will get a check within May from the government for $1,800. Anyone know?Answers: You should draw from a check sometime in May - July. It have nothing to do beside your filing of taxes for closing year. You dont need to do anything to take it. If you are single making less than 75K or married file jointly making smaller quantity than 150K, you will get it.
You should bring a check for $ 1,800. Pretty cool eh ?

If the bill is passed by Congress and if the president signs it you will get a separate check!
I believe that the amount is $75,000 and individuals who made more than that will get decrease rebate checks if any at all. Additionally, they enunciate that everyones rebate checks are supposedly going to be received by July 2008 since we are at the start of the income tax season and the parliament will be busy processing income taxes and returns. From what I have read...these rebate checks are going to be sent by check to home address based on income charge returns. It appears that if your income fell within the ranges, you will receive $600 (for yourself) + $300 for respectively child (as long as they both were claimed by you on your charge return. This is how I understood it anyway. Take assistance.
