Tax Rebate?

What happens if you alternate w/an Ex spouse to be capable of claim your child, and it is his turn to claim her this year, will I not get that extra credit per child

Answers: You can't claim for dependent children. There is no export tax advantage.
I give attention to you answered your own question.

But a fiesta solution would be to split it since it's a 1-time deal.
i own a similiar situation. i have 2 kids and my ex claims one every year. if the child lives next to you, you can get the earn income credit but not the child tax credit. claim them as a non-dependent instead of a dependent. i get screwed for years til i found out i could do this.

Tax quiz involving possible company error on excise forms.?

Im single, rent, no dependents, made the pretty much the same as closing year and for some reason this year I owe $600 instead of generally getting that much back. Since this is the first time Ive have to owe anything let alone 600 bucks it raise the question of an error somewhere along the track. Any thoughts as to the error, what it could be? I did my taxes on two different tax sites and they both come up reading the same entity.

Answers: Something changed. Print out this year's return and lay it side by side with second year's and see where the big difference is.

You say aloud nothing changed - roughly same income, AND roughly indistinguishable amount withheld? If much less be withheld, that could explain what you are seeing.
Did you fill out a clean w-4 form last year? you can do a untried w4 form and change you estimate to single 0 and next year you will catch money back..
