my husband and i live with a friend who owns the house we stay within.. someone told me ill acquire back more money if i claim married and skipper of household. my question is can i even claim chief of household if i dont own the house we stay in? im a short time ago wondering basically how to profile, to get the most money final. thanks within advance!

Answers: You can't report Married and HoH. If you're married you can only database Married Filing Jointly or Married Filing Seperately. HOH is for single people w/ children or couples w/children that are divorced or hold been seperated longer than 6 months.
MFJ have the bigger deduction than MFS, HOH or single.
You don't enjoy to own your home in charge to claim HOH;
You just enjoy to meet the testimonial.
Well, first of all if you are married you CAN'T claim commander of household.

File a joint return - that's better anyway than principal of household would be.

Does the Fair Tax Plan own a snowball's break of Replacing the IRS?

Try to give a logical point as to why or why not please

Answers: philosophically speaking, i believe it does have a snowballs prospect.
You really asking about a Flat Tax correct?
Not gonna come to pass.
If its a flat tax done, as a Sales Tax, afterwards its really another regressive tax,(like Social Security is); as the poor spend 100% of their money so they remuneration at the full rate then on their Income the successful save, invest, and even might whip trips, buy houses ect that are outside the US, therby the will be paying on only a portion of their income. so it will be somewhat a regressive import tax ot a 'Fair tax'.
As it is the last big export tax cuts when Bush came surrounded by, allows for a regression in the Tax code; While on the MACRO clamber the sysytem is still a progressive system; If someone make most of within Income from Investments(Capital Gains) they pay a lower due rate on there income consequently anyone in the middle class or complex.
A fair Tax even if its done via Income really money a TAX hike for the majority of import tax payers as the rate will be applied to the first dollar, the # those advocating are throwing around is 17% for a married couple near two kids, that would be a tax trudge for them unless they are making atleast $115K, provided they aren't taking any deductions, if so (probably)then its a travel for even a higher income even. But regardless way more after Half of all American family make smaller quantity then 115K so for most its a export tax hike, and a charge cut for those that make better then that amount.
Then you get to ask if the 'Politicians' are claiming 17% is what it would take to replace the revenue we currently achieve, do you really believe that #, if so I bet you believed Hillary when she said she'll pay for Universal Health fastidiousness with a small toll on cigarettes...lol what a joke, if its that confident why is medicare going broke
I hope not and the IRS should be abolished, but the "FairTax" does no such item.
WHO do YOU think is going to hold all those taxes (far more than collected very soon as medical services of all sorts, for example, are taxed).
WHO is going to cut those uncontrolled unjust monthly "prebate" checks. You can rename the department, but that's in recent times BS not abolition of anything.

It should NOT pass because it will bust the nation. To hit a FEW high points, because this is an incredibly stupid plan near MASSIVE flaws:

First, it will be the end financially for the disabled and not at your best. At 30% (they admit that you payment $100 now and will rate $130 THEN, so that is 30%, not 23%) EXTRA for ALL medical services (no taxes on those now) and the loss of the estimate when expenses hit 7.5% or more of your AGI, you just sunk the sick. And no insurance won't cover it AND a huge percentage of us have NO insurance anyway. There is NO "appeal" as in that is no tax form--it's basically "automatic" based on what a bureaucrat determined you SHOULD spend base on your income. Logically we see that is stupid as how frequent people NOW qualify for the medical speculation? Few, so those of us who do spend a LOT on our health issues.
Further ramification is:
bankruptcy will increase (right now, more than partly are over medical bills AND the bulk of those folks HAVE insurance) so that's just a certainty.
more people will back up on Medicaid because they will be bankrupted. Hey, don't TAXPAYERS salary for Medicaid? Why, yes, we do! Thanks for adding to the entitlement program payout next to this "FairTax"!
welfare rolls will expand. People will TRY not to bankrupt themselves by getting NECESSARY vigilance and will become too ill to work. Oops, besides the reality that welfare is a TAXPAYER SUPPORTED program, some will then extension up on Medicare--hey, isn't that TAXPAYER supported to? Why yes it is! This is GREAT! We're really expanding those in stipulation with this "FairTax."

Let's not even meditate about the OTHER problems:
the rich will buy their toys OUTSIDE the USA.
Who remembers 1990s Luxury Tax? That be going to make us roll within dough! Instead it cost companies their livelihoods--they tanked, the unemployment filings be up, welfare got some more recipient too I am sure, etc. Tax collections went WAY DOWN.

smuggling will be widespread--NO taxes whatsoever collected BUT the police will enjoy to try to enforce the law. Then courts clogged next to cases. Juries that will NOT convict THEIR LOCAL SUPPLIER--how else will they be able to afford food even when prices are up 30% to them?

I can progress on, but really, this is idiotic. Want something WORKABLE? How around Steve Forbes' flat tax. Make sure the personal exemption is natural AND indexed to inflation. Do a postcard and be done with taxes.

Oh and BTW, within is NOTHING in the "FairTax" to control or mute government spending, prevent them from increasing the percentage, OR shifting the burden for federal programs to the States (like craft Medicare work like they did next to Medicaid). Doesn't affect the gas tax or their proposed 40 cents a gallon more.

2008 Tax Rebate Question for Dependents?

I just have a child born in Jan 08. Would the export tax rebate cover this child or is it only righteous for those children born in 2007 and sooner?

Answers: I want to say you'd find the rebate because it's my understanding it's a rebate on your 2008 taxes, similar to the checks we get in 2001 shortly after President Bush get in department (the $300 ones for individuals and $600 for married couples). That was an "credit refund" basically toward your 2001 taxes to be file in 2002.

But it hasn't be officially passed by Congress nor signed by President Bush, so it's too untimely to say for sure.

I want to know if my wife and I are planned to get the $1,200 even though she doesn't work, but our household income is lower than both the individual and couples' income caps. Or are we getting $600 because I am the sole wage earner/taxpayer surrounded by our household? Anyone know that?
