No. If you bring the job you will with the sole purpose receive the your jsa until the day past you start work. If you need money to end you until payday (and who doesn't?) you have to apply for a loan from the social fund. If you choose to do that, well brought-up luck, because its near impossible to go and get through on the phone to them and you can only apply over the phone!
I know this as my son have recently started work and luckily for him he still lives at home otherwise he would've have to go a month lacking any money until he got compensated from his job as within was no track he could get through on the social fund/loan column.
What the other people hold said is true - you will not receive anything from your first day of work, but if you own dependents and no money to live on for your first month of work you may be able to find a loan from the Social Fund.
Rami is correct there is a JSA run on for four weeks after you start employment provided you are surrounded by receipt of Housing benefit/Council Tax benefit, my guidance to you would be to ask at your local jobcentre but until you get the extend of employment they can do nothing.
