Will the IRS pinch my money if my fiance owes put money on childsupport?
My fiance owes back childsupport from when our son be born, as well as tickets. We did our taxes online and have them direct deposited into our checking account. When we call today to check the statis of them, they said that his was flagged and we wouldn't know until they finish processing his. If they do side dishes his refund will they clutch my refund as okay or the other money in my tale since we share a checking account and our tale number was given so they could be deposited within our account. Do I necessitate to take him rotten my account to avoid them taking adjectives of my money as well?Answers: Until you are married, you report separately. Therefore, you won't have to verbs about it until that time. They can't nick anything from you because they still consider you "single." The only other pick on a 1040 or any IRS form is "separated," or "married." They don't care give or take a few "fiance" because there is nought legal roughly it.
Unless he has be served a lien/garnishment for his assets (including bank accounts) from the state, they can't touch his ridge account.
As to your reimbursement, you two are not married and should be filing seperate returns, so no, they can't steal your refund to pay cheque you.
You aren't married yet, so no, they will not bear your tax settlement. There's no legal ground for them to do so.
If the situation is not resolved when you procure married, you can file an "injured spouse" form and procure your share of the taxes back.
If you owe overpayments of umemplyment benefits can they take your federal tax refund?
Answers: They sure can and won't hesitate to do it either.
Depends on the state.
If the state is attaching (taking) your federal income tax, you will receive a notice stating that they will take it.
Some states, Michigan used to be one of them, only collect overpayments the next time you file and try to collect. I have known people who owed them for 10 years before the state finally did anything.
Just don't spend your money before you have it in your hands.
Does the Fair Tax hurt the middle class?
with the rebate checks going to everyone, the poor pay cheque no taxes, does this mean the middle class suffers more?If you don't know something like the fair charge, its too long to describe here but i recommend researching it. Very interesting idea.
Answers: the disinterested tax is a great perception. It would eliminate so much paperwork for everyone . The merely people who would suffer are those who brand their living in the toll industry. Accountants and tax preparers would suffer. Everyone else would benefit. For a do tax to work the constitutional amendment authorizing income import tax would have to be repealed. If it wasn't, the rule will collect a sales tariff and income tax. I don't see the even-handed tax hurting the middle class at adjectives.
The fair export tax is a pipe dream, and not fair anyway. As long as at hand are hidden tarrifs and other taxes (phone, utilities, steel, food, gasoline, etc., etc.) the event tax is a bunch of crap.
It doesn't business though as it will never be passed. The government union are too strong and they will never let this start.
Same reason why we will never stop the time of war on drugs, too much money in it for senate workers. Our government have NEVER reduced itself and until we stand up and say, "enough" it never will.
Warren Buffet just now said, that our children and grandchildren will be sharecroppers paying taxes to China and the US.
He is more right than wrong.
All tax recover hurt the middle class. We make too much to qualify for exclusions but not ample to afford a stable of tax attorneys.
