In addition to this i also payment rent which totaled $4800 for the whole year. So i'm newly wondering why i have to payment the government $300 this year?Answers: its pretty adjectives for people who enjoy multiple part-time job to end up owing taxes. In your armour neither job factor in the profits from the other job within their calculation of income taxes to withhold.
It happen every year to my mother in directive who works two part-time nursing job.
The rent may open up some adjectives tax credits at smallest here in Ontario.
Ok,
First, your rent have no impact on your income tax. So it doesn't situation for your tax multiplication.
Second, each of your income sources is probably assuming they are your with the sole purpose sources of income. This means:
* they are respectively assuming you will have a terribly low income, maybe even below the chief personal exemption amount (which is about $10,000)
* Since they surmise you have a completely low income, they don't withhold much in taxes, because if you one and only made 10-15 thousand in a year, you would only just owe anything (they would only excise you on anything higher than the essential personal exemption)
But since you have *two* sources of income, your taxes owed are high than they are assuming, and you end up owing taxes.
To fix this you can enjoy your employers reduce by more in taxes bad your pay cheque. There is a form for you to overrun out. You can either enjoy $10 extra withheld from each cheque, or hold one of them assume you have no deduction at all. That will support.

RE: the stimulus bunch levy rebate:?
If I owe the IRS $700 for 2007, can I just distribute them $100 and they will credit me the $600, or do I have to pay packet it all and consequently receive the rebate check for $600 ?Answers: If you owe the IRS $700, they would accept the $100 and embezzle the rebate out.
However, keep contained by mind, the longer you don't pay, the more interest and penalty will keep count to your account.
Just because you owe $700 very soon doesn't mean that if the stimulus carton is approved and they with-hold that rebate check, that your balance will still be $600 if you recompense them $100.
