TurboTax online says i will receive 307.00 for federal is this accurate or am i entitled to the full entry or more??

Answers: Sounds about right friend...

The organization gives you a standard assumption of $5,350, so in your overnight case, you are only tax on $631.00..and lets say-so roughly federal income tax is around within your case 12%, so for fun read aloud you should have remunerated around $75 in federal levy...

That sounds about right base on what turbotax said was your settlement.
Sounds about right. The first $5350 you made for the year isn't tax at the federal level - and on the other $631 you will rate 10% - you get the rest refund to you. Being a full time student doesn't mean you don't pay cheque tax - it depends on how much you made, and you made ample to pay for a time bit of tax.

Do i have to file taxes if i made less than $4000,and my parents claim me on their taxes?

Answers: probably not, but to be sure, check

You might want to file taxes this year - because you might get a $300 rebate.

I am not sure as I have not seen the fine print yet - but if your parents claim you - they get $300. Low income people get $300 - Their $300 plus your $300 is the amount a single person gets, so it is probably worth filing.

And if you had any state or federal taxes withheld from your check, you probably will get those back if you file.
I agree with the previous poster--file your taxes so you can get the tax refund in May--probably $300 in your case.

If you don't file, you won't get the rebate.
If you made less than the required amount for your particular filing status, you don't have to file a return. In the event there was Federal withholding taken out, by all means file the return to get a refund.
