Disabled Child 19 or elder export tax cross-question?

I am trying to do my mother's return for 2007. My brother is 20 years old and mild-moderately retarded. He cannot work do to this disabilty. My mother provided 100% fastidiousness for him in 2007. My query is... What, if any, kind of documtation will the IRS require proving my brother's disabilty?

Answers: She can claim him as her Qualifying Child indefinitely. There are no age edges on a disabled child. If the IRS should question the claim, a statement from his physician will be enough.

The only support rule for a Qualifying Child is that the child not provide more than partly of their OWN support. The old rule of the parent paying more than 50% be tossed 3 years ago.
No documentation is required. If your brother doesn't work, and your mom provides more than 50% of his total support, then he would be a dependent even if he be not disabled in any opening.

You can download the forms from the IRS website or buy and download the 2006 journal of any of the commercial tax software packages from the publisher's website.

2. The best channel to e-file your 2007 return is through the IRS website. Click on the Free E-File link.

3. You cannot claim your daughter on your 2007 return as she be not born in 2007 or faster. Next year, sure.
That is the most beautiful child picture on your profile!

Answers: Go to the H&R Block Tax calculator, enter your notes, and get a obedient estimate of your taxes and refund:

To digit out your tax reimbursement, we'd need to know four things: Your income, the amount of deduction you're entitled to subtract from that income, the amount of tax credits you're entitled to subtract from your levy liability, and the amount of money you had withheld from your wages for the year.

You didn't offer us enough of that information to speak about whether $879 could be the right number or not.

Don't you trust your dad? Or can't you look at the form and tell for yourself whether or not it's right? The 1040EZ is one of the simplest export tax forms there is -- primarily all you do is plug contained by a few numbers from your W2 and then subtract. Look at the form and see if the right numbers are in attendance and if the math is done right.
you aren't providing enough info to pass you an intelligent answer - if you only worked 6 months and that be less than you worked the year back, you would have smaller quantity taxes withheld as well as toll liability, so your refund would be smaller - did you collect laying-off benefits in 2007? They are taxable income and most citizens don't have taxes withheld from them, so that would downsize your refund also - not a soul is guaranteed a certain size repayment - the idea is to acquire the exact tax withheld that you will owe for the year, so you maximize your take-home money and you don't owe the IRS anything come tax return time
