I'm still in college and my mom claims me as hers. I had a living over the summer and got the form from dated work. do I have to do taxes since I'm solely 17 and still in institution? I don't know how... Oh, and I live in Texas if that's meaningful at all...Answers: It depends on how much you made. Even if you did not build enough to settle up taxes, you SHOULD file to receive a settlement of taxes withheld from your pay.
If your in step gross income was $54,000 or smaller amount in 2007, you can use Free File to prepare and e-file your taxes online.

Underpayment of Extension?
Related to another question of mine, I can't do an OIC or Installments because I'm paying sour a bankruptcy, all the same I owe taxes which I can't afford to pay. One suggestion be to file an extension and try to come up beside the full amount by October, initially paying what I can April 15th. But does anyone know what happens contained by October when I file and it shows that I underpaid within April? Trying to figure out if I'm penalize worse or less for file the extension.Answers: All of the money is due 4/15.
There are 2 different penalties.
If you profile on time (4/15 or 10/15 beside an extension), you only owe dud to PAY penalty. This is initially .5% (multiply by .005) per month of the money that you owe and starts 4/15.
If you backfire to file prompt, the failure to FILE cost is 4.5% per month for the first 5 months after you fail to directory. Do not fail tot report as this is very expensive.
The extension doesn't seize you an extension of time to pay. You still must reimburse the balance surrounded by full by April 15th with the extension application.
You entail to get your priorities straight. Your import tax debts come FIRST, ahead of ANYONE else in your ruin. The other creditors take a BACK SEAT at the back the IRS.
I'm assuming that you're on a Chapter 13 Wage Earner Plan. Your tax liability SHOULD hold been included surrounded by the BK filing. If it wasn't, contact your attorney. You'll entail to get your donation plan modified so that the IRS gets their money first. This isn't adjectives that unusual but your attorney SHOULD have planned for this, assuming that you be straight with him or her.
