Answers: H&R Block is pro LEGAL - they will get you the best refund they can while staying within the IRS guidelines. I do not think anyone at H&R Block wants to go to jail for a taxpayer
They are on your side for finding deductions but they wont do anything illegal
Just got a letter in the mail stating that i owe for 2005 taxes, why did it take so long?
Answers: Nothing is quick with the IRS. No, joke either. If you think about it, they have millions and millions of people they have to keep track of. It just somtimes takes a while, but they will always catch up with you.
Why do you owe? If it is a check of your return compared to information documents reported it should not have taken this long. If it is a small unpaid balance due from when you filed your return, you get a notice once a year.
I live in virginia (fairfax county) what can happen if you can't pay your car taxes?
Answers: Fairfax county is filled with liberal thieves. A fiscally sound conservative ran for a seat on the Board of Supervisors and only garnered 17% of the vote. Fairfax county is probably the greediest county in the nation. They don't even allow trailer parks because they want a certain amount of tax revenue per square foot !!
If you cannot pay your vehicle taxes, get out of there. That's why a lot of people are moving out and why a lot of people have given up their landlines: 22.2% tax on phones!! If you don't get out, they will steal your vehicle, auction it, determine what THEY think it is worth [no blue book] and sue you for the difference. That's why everybody's real estate and personal property taxes keep going higher. They deceitfully say "we are lowering the cost per 100". Of course, they keep raising the assessments to unrealistically high levels. When one asks: "would you buy it at that price?", the reply is " we don't buy; we only assess them". All on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors should be tarred and feathered. They would've been in the good old days. Taxation without representation is United Nations tyranny.
move to dc or md where you dont have to pay that. More than likely the state of VA, you will owe them quite a bit of moolah..good luck..
