Looking at my 2006 Fed Tax return how can I tell if I used itemized deducitons or standard?
Answers: Did you file a 1040EZ? Then you took the standard deduction. Did you file a 1040 long form and answer the question saying that you would be itemizing you deductions and listed out your deductions? Then you used itemized deductions.
If it's a 1040 and has a schedule A attached, you itemized. Otherwise you didn't.
I be suppose to receive my import tax repayment on Feb 8th, and never received it. Has anyone else have this problem?
If you have...how much longer did you hang about until it was directly deposited...or are you still waiting. Ugh! This is VERY frustrating!Answers: federal refund will start being processed after feb 11th because of the change in the excise laws.. you be told that IF you filed online..
Mine delayed once, but dont verbs. I just call one of the numbers inside my tax booklet that's precisely for that problem, and cha-ching, my money arrived shortly after.
Remember to consider the high-ranking volume going through not just your local irs treasury, but the postals too, and impart it a lil time cushion.
If you were supposed to return with it by direct deposit it should be in already or inwardly a couple more business days. It can take the irs a week or more also to do the return deposit. If you expected a hard check contained by the mail, the irs say it can take up to 2-3 weeks to running out up in your hand.
The Feb 11, 2008 date referenced above by another person is individual if you had an AMT form on your discount. There are only 5 specific forms that would rationale your refund to be delayed, but since you said you have a date from the irs, that shouldn't involve you because they will not even begin processing the AMT artificial ones until sometime today. There is a link to that word release below if you are concerned. I am one of the millions of people artificial by this one, so if you already have a date for your return, you are lucky. The irs stinks.
I WAS TO RECIEVE MINES THE 8TH ALSO I USED SIMPLE PAY THROUGH H&R BLOCK
Tax reimbursement relieve?
I live in Ontario. If I don't embezzle care of it this year is it GONE or does it gather so I can receive it next year?!
It's so complicated!! Good cogitate you have to purloin care of that stuff individual once a year othrewise the suicide rate would probably go up.
so please permit me know if i'd lose it or not. thank you
Answers: You really should file. If you're entitled to a return, you could still get it another year, but you won't receive any of the little bonuses like the GST credit if you don't wallet (you apply for it when you do your income tax).
If you owe money, and don't file, you'll be charged interest when you finally do it...and could bring into trouble if you wait too long.
It's really not that complicated. I started file my own taxes when I was 17, and that be back when we have to do it on paper! lol
Now it's much easier by going to www.ufile.ca (it will be free for you to directory if you made less than $20K...$16 if you made more than that). You'll inevitability your T4's and receipts for anything you might be able to take off like rent receipts (a releve 5 slip surrounded by Quebec), public transit, charitable donations, rrsp's, etc. Don't file even so if you think haven't gotten adjectives your forms yet, but you can still carry familiar beside ufile.ca and fill out the forms you hold received.
You need to do your taxes per annum.
You are young so it should be more or less easy to do yours yourself online. Try turbo due out. Basically it prompts you for what information you need to enter into the boxes, next it does all of the calculation for you.
Just make sure you own your W2 from your work (which should have be mailed to you by now).
If you find stuck on a question, usually nearby is a help likelihood in the import tax program to help you out. If adjectives else fails, ask us on here for aid. : D
depending on what is giving you the refund you probably won't lose it but you do call for to file every year so you don't miss out on rrsp contribution room and gst credits etc
