It is 2/11/08, Has the IRS started processing 2007 refund near AMT forms on them?
Ok, so it is now Feb 11, 2008. I didn't know roughly speaking the hold up for filers with AMT forms until after I did my e-file near Taxact and I am wondering. Does anyone know if the IRS is actually going to start processing these as they said they would today? Haven't see anything new on it and my reimbursement has purely been sitting near for about 2 weeks, getting rather frustrated since there is no word on this issue. Thanks!Answers: February 11th is the day. Now wether or not they in truth start going through today is another story. But keep contained by mind there probably is a long string.
I'm in that stripe with you. I'm guessing it probably will be submited by the closing stages of this week for sure.
Does anyone own an address for the IRS?
I live in Oklahoma and I know the address is within Austin Texas I just dont know the fastener,,,I dont think it have a po box or anything..its to send 1040 formsThanks A lot!
Answers: this should provide you all the info you requirement...http://www.irs.gov/localcontacts/
I you live in oklahoma, afterwards you should use this address..
Department of treasury
Internal Revenue Service
Fresno, CA
93888-0015
The zip code to Austin Texas is..73301-0015
According to the Form 1040 instructions, if you live surrounded by Oklahoma you would not send your 1040 form to Austin, Texas.
The instructions indicate that if you are not sending contained by a check or money order near your 1040 form then, use this address:
Department of the Treasury
Internal Revenue Service Center
Fresno, CA 93888-0002
However, if you are sending contained by a check or money order near your 1040 form then, use this address:
Department of the Treasury
Internal Revenue Service Center
Fresno, CA 93888-0102
The Austin, Texas address is used if you live surrounded by American Samoa, nonpermanent residents of Guam or the Virgin Islands*, Puerto Rico (or if excluding income under Internal Revenue Code slice 933), dual-status aliens, a foreign country: U.S. citizens and those filing Form 2555, 2555-EZ, or 4563.
The address is:
Internal Revenue Service Center
Austin, TX 73301-xxxx
Replace xxxx next to the following numbers as appropriate:
Taxpayers enclosing a check should add on “-0102” to the zip code scheduled above if mailing a Form 1040, “-0115” for Form 1040A or “-0114” for Form 1040EZ. Those not enclose a check should add “-0002” if mail a Form 1040, “-0015” for Form 1040A, or “-0014” for Form 1040EZ.
However Austin is probably not the right place to mail your return if you live surrounded by OK. Check the instructions for the return that you are filing.
Look on the backbone of the instruction book for 1040 if that's what you are filing. There are different fastener codes depending on whether or not you are sending a payment near your return - and it's Fresno CA not Austin for people living surrounded by OK.
Irs website?
anyone else having trouble getting on the irs website repayment status page today?Answers: No problems here. It's working fine -- actually zippier than usual. Restart your browser or reboot your computer.
No! I go to www.irs.gov , clicked on "Where Is My Refund?" and then clicked on the words "where on earth is my refund?" and it took me to a page that asked for my social guarantee number, filing status, and amount of repayment. I didn't go any further, but I have no trouble getting to their website.
