Can i claim my meal on my taxes? I am unsure just about adjectives the things I can claim!?
I work as a plumber for a large nation widespread compony. I pay for everything. Truck, insurance, tools, gas. However, I am concidered an emplyee because the compony dictates the hrs. I work and the prices to charge the customers. I am doing a tour 12 hrs a day and munch through out at least 1and sometimes 2 times a daytime and drink alot of water to hold on to hidrated during the summer days. Is this food and drink deductable on taxes?Answers: No, sorry, that is not deductible within any way.
If you are traveling away from home overnight on business and incur hotel charges next the hotel charge and 1/2 of your meals are deductible if they are not reimbursed by your employer. However meal taken in the local nouns of your tax home are never deductible if an overnight stay away from home is not involved.
No, food and drink for yourself is not toll deductible. You'd still have to get through whether or not you were working, so there's no foundation to deduct it as an expense that I can suppose of.
Start taking your lunch and keep one of those igloo hose containers on the truck.
No it's not deductible. If you want to save money, pack a cooler beside your lunch and with plenty of hose down.
How many nights can i stay at my girlfriends house if she is claiming child and working tax credits?
Answers: You can stay over as many times as you like, she would only declaire you as a partner if you moved in and started contributing towards the household, if you have your own place and dont help your girlfriend out with her rent or bills then you can stay over as many times as you like, its jsut when you start helping her with bills she would have to declaire you as her partner
'the oracle' is incorrect you can stay over it doesnt matter about patterns etc
for ease of mind id ring the helpline (0800 3003900) you dont need to give your national insurance number etc just ring up and just ask for advise and explain your situation they will check the guidence and let you know.
Its best to know for certain than not checking and being in the wrong (your girlfriend can get done for benefit fraud)
I take it she is claiming as a Lone Parent?
The common misperception is that the "partner" is "allowed" to stay for a certain number of nights per week, and they won't be considered to be co-habiting. The truth is that if there is a regular pattern, even if it is for one night a week, then they can be classed as living together, and her entitlement to any benefits claimed as a lone parent would cease. The Working Tax credit could be affected by your earnings.
So the simple answer is: none. The odd stopover is fine, but as soon as you establish any regular pattern, then you could be considered a couple.
