I am Married. But me and my husband get a larger return by filing Married but innards Seperatly. We have 1 child. I read one report repot about it and it said that to get hold of the $1200 check its couples filing mutually. So do we not get anything or what? Like I said we also own 1 child, for the additional $300.Answers: The adjectives Tax Rebate agreement between Congressional Democrats and the President does not address the rebate situation for married filing separately.
This detail will be address as the package works its bearing through Congress, since nothing have been enact yet.
See the links below for a discussion of the current tariff rebate plan.
First, this is still a proposal that has not be approved and enacted into decree. As such, everything is still up in the atmosphere and no amounts have be set.
But this is the proposal of White House http://www.whitehouse.gov/ask/20080125.h...
------------------------------------

In addition to the individual rebate, family will receive an additional $300 per child credit. The individual rebate and the child credit phase out starting at $75,000 contained by income for individuals or $150,000 in household income.
------------------------------------
Just wait till the bill is finally approved as you can find more details just about that.
None at present as it is still being debate by Congress. It may well be several weeks previously anything definite is certain.
Anything that anyone says is pure guesswork at this point, including what is posted on the White House website.
The proposed rebate plan is really relatively simple. ALL persons reporting at tiniest $3000 in income receive the minimum $300 rebate.
Single taxpayers who take-home pay more than $300 but less than $600 surrounded by 2007 Federal Income Tax receive a rebate equal to the tax salaried. Single taxpayers who pay $600 or more contained by 2007 Federal Income Tax receive a $600 rebate.
Married taxpayers filing mutually who pay who income more than $300 but less than $1200 within 2007 Federal Income Tax receive a rebate equal to the tax remunerated. Married taxpayers filing collectively who pay who pay cheque more than $1200 in 2007 Federal Income Tax receive a $1200 rebate.
However, the Senate is currently fiddling beside the package so adjectives this may change.
Can someone please clarify this for me?
I recently hear something about the U.S. system issuing money to individuals ($600 for adults & $300 per child) as a means to soar start the economy? Where on the pattern can I go to find out more and to see more or less this or is this total b.s.?0 Do they, in turn, help yourself to the money back out of your export tax refund? Do I qualify mortal a single mother of a 3 month old? Thanks for you facilitate.Answers: Here is a story about this, near a breakdown chart midway down the page:

It has to be passed within the Senate, but if it does, as is, checks should first begin arriving within May.
And no, this is not counted as income, and will not be taken from your refund.
Depending on your income and such, you should qualify, but for how much is not but set in stone.
Here is an update:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080129/ap_o...
Nothing have been finalized however. They figure it will be done by the come to an end of Feb. and they will start issuing checks no sooner than 60 day's after this date. They will possibly be sending checks out in May. Sorry for the snag.
All americans getting 800$ this year from the gov?
Ok so my husband is convenced he is correct about audible range that this yr the US goverenment will be mailing every citizen a check for 800$...i asked my hubby if this have to do with taxes he said no..he hear about this through a fitting number of ppl at his job.is this true? i penny-pinching come on...free money?Answers: It does have to do next to taxes. It may be less or more later $800, however. Here's the details on the economic stimulus carton:
- Individuals who pay income taxes will gain up to $600 tax rebate check.
- Working couples will achieve up to $1,200 in a toll rebate check
- Families with children will procure an additional $300 per child.
- Workers who put together at least $3,000, but whose income is too low to require that they profile a tax return, would receive $300.
The tariff rebate checks will phase out gradually depending on your income:
- Individuals making between $75,000 and $87,000 will bring back a partial rebate.
- Couples making between $150,000 and $174,000 will get a partial rebate.
- These income cap will rise slightly for those with children.
It hasn't passed nonetheless, but it looks like it will. The conception is that "free money" will encourage society to spend, spend, spend, which will boost the economy. Be sure to record if you earned above $3000.
The current proposal (not all the same confirmed) is that if you paid income taxes ultimate year, you can get as much as $600, or $1200 for couples. It's smaller number if you made under a infallible amount; I believe it's under$3,500, for which you would get $300.
I get you're not avid newspaper reader.
It's true. Front page of the Valley Daily News paper surrounded by California. It's still up for it's final vote. I believe it goes to the Senate in a minute.
The amount of refund will oscillate depending on one's adjusted gross twelve-monthly income for 2007, whether you're single, married, how many kids, etc. Anywhere from $300.00 (for most single wage earners) to $800.00 for married couples next to up to 3 kids.
Let's all hope it pass the Senate.
Yes I agree with the ultimate person's answer...but I also heard it is not 100% for sure on the other hand.
I think it's great that the gov't think people will invest it. Most society will go and spend it on crap they don't entail, which in turn isn't going to engineer the economy any better rotten!
The details haven't been finalized all the same. If this works like the one within 2001, any "rebate" will have to be compensated back when taxes are file in 2009.
Its not free money nonetheless.
No, nobody has suggested $800 per entity, although there is a proposal for up to $600 for population making income, and additional if they enjoy kids. Since Congress is still sorting out details, there's no way to know what it will pause up being.
