Taxes Questions and Answers

Do I must folder same rates form to federal and state(ca)? (such as 1040a+540a, 1040ez+540-2ez)?

I would like to know if I must folder the same/similar form to both federal and state (CA)? Just like if I file 1040ez to IRS, do I must file 540-2ez to CA state? Or can I choose other form (such as 540A) to state?

Actually I can earn extra $500 reimbursement if I file 1040ez a bit than 1040A, but I have to do adjustment (unemployment compensation) on my state income rates return, I would like to wallet 1040ez + 540A for this year. (CA 5402ez didn't allow adjustment)

If I have to profile exactly the same form to both federal and state (such as 1040A+540A), after I have to read out goodbye to the extra $500 refund.

Answers: You are required to record a federal and state form. If it is to your advantage to database a 1040ez then do so. You can report a 540A with CA if you want. The state will with the sole purpose care if you do NOT wallet with them.

What taxes will I draw from pay for if I'm 17 and live within California?

My year to dates be:
Federal Withholding- 240's
Social Security- 250's
Medicare- 50's
State Withholding- 20
SDI tax- 20's

Those are the numbers so any help on which taxes I will seize back would be great. Thanks and God bless.

Answers: Without knowing your income, there's no track to even know if you'll get anything pay for, or even if you'd owe.

Backing into your income based on what you have withheld for social security and medicare, I'm guessing you made lower than $5350 for the year so would get adjectives of your federal withholding back. You don't catch social security, medicare or SDI vertebrae. You might get some or adjectives of state withholding back.
And your income be what?

Answers: What you describe fits easily within from 1040 for Federal, with diary A and possibly others. These you can download from www.irs.gov .

However, it sounds like you've never done this back, so it would be better to get TurboTax or TaxCut or one of those packages, and run through the Wizard that asks you question. Or pay an actual human.

Next year, you can look at this year's forms as an example, and do your taxes manually, if you want.
1040
1040 Schedule A.
1040 form 2106

IRS publication 529 and especially 463. You will find that profusely of the items you hope to itemize aren't eligible.

Work this backwards before you spend seriously of time on this.

If you make $20,000 contained by income, the first $800 (2%) of business expenses don't count towards the itemized deductions anyway. Then your total for itemized deduction has to be more than $5350 if you are single because you'd gain $5350 without even trying.

Cell phone is long distance call only.
Mileage for work doesn't include commuting.
Non-commuting can be deduct as a standard mileage rate plus parking and tolls.
Meals have to be defensible and only count at 50% (were you out of town overnight or entertaining clients? Did you write down their name, companies, phone numbers and what you discussed while you were consumption?).
What did your uniform look like?

Yes, the sale tax on the vehicle can be added in if you elect sale tax for itemizing. I took the standard table amount the year I bought a coup¨¦ and then added my $750 import tax to the table amount.
Wait--are you self-employed? Are you 1099ed? So 1040 with Schedule C and/or Schedule A.

Honestly, sounds close to you need someone to do your taxes for you. Find a righteous accountant asap. Whatever you do, do not do your taxes yourself. You will probably screw them up.
