Taxes Questions and Answers

In the UK if a job is £16,000 pa - how much does that work out at in your hand after tax etc?

Answers: On earnings of this level, tax and National Insurance usually account for about 25% of the Gross, so you should be left with about £12,000 nett per annum.
Hi there! By rough rule of thumb, you would see about two-thirds of the gross figure of £16,000 pa. That would be about £10,600 pa. Inland Revenue and your National Insurance contribution take the remainder.

Hope this helps.
You are allowed to earn 5250 before you pay tax.
you pay tax at 10% on the next 2090 then at 22% anything after that so 16000 - 5250 =10750 - 2090= 8660.
22% of 8660 =1905.20 + 10% of 2090 = 209 add the 1905.20 and 209 = 2114.20 that is approx the tax you will pay. So 16000 - 2114.20 = 13885.80 - NI contributions so approx 13500 at my estimate.

If i obtain disability and im paying on taxes from 05' will unwell be eligible for a rebate check?

i owe taxes from 05 and im paying on it but since im on disability i dont have report

Answers: It's my understanding that the rebate is lone for those paying for '07. In any case, they probably would withhold it to finish heavy your prior liability. Sorry!
If you owe the IRS money then they will not distribute you a rebate, they will put it toward the balance you owe. I go through the same article the last time they give rebates.
