You and your spouse both hold to file a due return. You have to roll her income on your return and vice versa. A lot of programs like quicktax will automatically total your wife as a dependant.
If you're making that much, you can hire an accoutant.
She is not a dependent, but you are the head of the household.
You should directory as married filing in concert and claim exemptions for her along with yourself (These are call "personal exemptions").
You would not claim her as a dependent unless you were file separate returns. Dependents are a different matter from exemptions and appear on lines below the lines for personal exemptions.
