Taxes Questions and Answers

I did not fill taxes last year i only worked 3 months making 6 dolllars and some change. will i possiable owe?

Answers: It's honestly in your best interest to file if you received a W-2 showing taxes taken out. Unless you had some other form of taxable income, your income should be low enough that your exemptions should be enough to get you a refund. In addition, you may qualify for the Earned Income Credit which could get you additional money back. Run your situation through a tax calculator online and see if it is worth it.
You don't give quite enough info to answer for sure. But if this income was from a job where social security and medicare were taken out, it's extremely unlikely you'd even owe enough to have to file - but if anything was taken out for federal income tax, you should file to get it refunded to you.

How long does it pocket for a state charge return contained by wisconsin to arrive or be depositedinto my article?

i filed contained by early January

Answers: If you e-filed beside direct deposit, you should get your state reimbursement about (or within) one week after you file. This is assuming that all your information/documentation submitted is correct and that you didn't acquire audited, of course.

I live within WI and have e-filed near direct deposit for the last several years. I enjoy always gotten my state fund within a week and federal in two weeks.

I believe the filing season started almost mid-January...so if you filed within early January, they may not hold started processing it until around the 15th, which is why you may not have gotten it put money on yet.

The intertwine below is the WI Dept. of Revenue's website... you can check the status of your refund through it.

Hope you return with it soon! I'm still waiting on a couple W-2's yet, which sucks because I inevitability my refund money close to NOW...lol. ;-)

What is the standard deduction amount for charitable contributions?

Answers: I believe you need receipts for charitable contributions; after all, lots of people don't make any during the year.
There isn't any, as far as I'm aware, i.e., it's zero.

What you do is get your cancelled checks, receipts, or letters of acknowledgement from charities, and add up the amounts, if any. This includes fill-in yourself receipts if you donated clothes or stuff to places like Salvation Army (you have to estimate a reasonable value).
this deduction is taken on Schedule A

As above - you will need yor receipts - and if you have more than $5,350 for singles - or married filing separately
OR $10,700 for joint filers - - -

your deduction - Mortgage, Charitable, Medical over 7.5% of line 38 - et al

has to be over that amount above - or forget it -
and just take the standard deduction - like 55% of us do

why not deduct it ALL

lets get the Fair Tax and dump the I R S!

http://www.fairtax.org

It takes 3% of our gross domestic product just to comply with IRS regs -

wake up America! you want a stimulus package!
W O W!

have a great 2008!
If you take the standard deduction, you don't get any deduction for charitable contributions.

If you itemize, you can take what you actually gave to a registered charity that you have receipts for.
