Income Tax Question?
My fiance and I have a 1 year old-fashioned son. For 2007 I enrolled within my employer's flex plan and got $5,000 tax-free for daylight care. I hold a decent paying chore, but my fiance made much less money than I did (he is contained by nursing school). Since we aren't married yet, and single one of us can claim our son as a dependent, can my fiance claim him to get a much bigger return since he didn't have remarkably much income? Or since I used the employer benefit plan for day keeping, does he have to be claimed by me. The difference will mingy about $2,000 more for our combined export tax returns. Personally, I don't see why we can't do it to get a bigger compensation. If there are any tariff experts out there, make a contribution me the scoop! ThanksAnswers: Your fiance can claim your son as long as you are both contained by agreement. Income rules only apply if both parents are trying to claim like child.
Good Luck!
Since you both are his parents and you both lived with your son for more than 1/2 of the year, the parent next to the largest income will be able to claim your son as a dependent.
Isn't it imperative that i hold to own my w2 by the failure of January?
I live in Iowa if that make a difference. We asked for out w2's today and the owner of the restaurant i work in said he'd messages them out in the subsequent few days...Answers: There are two separate issues - the employer must mail the w-2 & w-3 statements to the Social Security Administration by January 31 - unless the employer files electronically - after they have until March. However, unless the company have many human resources, this is rarely fined or enforced. Second issue, the communication of the law single states the employer must:
"furnish" Copies B, C, and 2 of Form W-2 to your employees, across the world, by January 31, 2008. You will meet the “furnish” requirement if the form is properly address and mailed on or past the due date.
However, the employer must only furnish access - they can provide them online or require the hand to pick them up at their place of employment. Also, this is really an employer / employee concern. The IRS doesn't take any "demand" from an member of staff about their employer until unpunctually March. In short, don't call the IRS - ring up your employer.
No, the law is that it must be postmarked by midnight, 1/31.
It's not considered in arrears by the IRS until after 2/15.
contrary to popular belief... Illegals do file taxes. There is a massive Identity burglary problem in this country because illegals grasp Id's for legal citizens, and they report that on their W-2's. They hold deductions taken out, and that money ends up going into social sec, etc. Along next to the money from the Legal who actually is that party.. Some illegals don't bother to file, some do. If they profile before you do, they would receive that money. Then you would own your tax return not show up and eventually they would be found and you would return with your money. The IRS is fairly upright at running these things down, and eventually you get your money. In the miserable time there is of late Bazillions of dollars going in to the political affairs that the government know will never be disbursed so it ends up in broad fund where they (politicians) can mess next to it. Why do you think the establishment refuses to operation with the crooked issue any way? It's because it's tremendously profitable to them, and it's almost impossible to track. H-mmmmmm and this is an election year too, isn't it ??
I paid Income Tax through Axis Bank Internet. But at that time I am unable to print out.Now how I will print .?
Answers: You don't need a printout of it. You only need the BSR code of the bank, date of payment, Assessment Year, Nature of Payment, bank name and branch where you have paid.
See your account statement if it is having all those details or not. Otherwise contact your banks banks helpline number. If you fails to obtain the said details, then register yourself with NSDL to view your tax credit with a payment about Rs.20/- as fee for registration. In that you can fill all the taxes paid by you in detail.
How to register to view your tax status??
