Am i missing something? Why do society feel this is complicated?
This is my first year not having mommy and daddy do my taxes haha... and.. i cant believe how effortless it is.I just go on turbotax.com and did the free version.. and bam.. 10 minutes then i was done.
Now, my lifes pretty simple. I have two jobs over this year... plus student loan interest that i have to list... and i dont own a home or own dependents or anything.
I just wanna receive sure im not missing anything... it seemed.. wayy to trouble-free. Is it just more complicated for some relatives once you have dependents and stuff? is near any reason i should hold gone to a tax individual?
thanks!
Answers: No, you're fine doing it yourself. It get more complicated than that for many culture, though. Mine used to be a huge headache as I had a home business.
LOL. That's the big private -- if you take your time and read the instructions thinly, and you don't have anything complicated approaching an inheritance or big investments or a business or something -- doing your taxes really *IS* easy.
Welcome to the grownup world! I am making my 18-year-old do her own taxes this year instead of doing them for her and I hope when she's done she say the same entity you say!
that's right adjectives there is to it, but include stock sale, home business purchase or mart of a home children itemized deductions it does win a little more difficult but beside turbotax honestly it still is easy i remember when my dad did it the infirm fashion path with a pencil it took him days immediately it takes minutes appreciation turbotax

Can i file an income tax return now and file later when I receive oter w-2s?
Answers: No, if you have multiple w-2's, you need to wait and receive them all, then file it all together. Sorry :(
You can. You'd have to file a 1040x later, to modify your first 1040.
Of course, that would greatly delay any refund you might have coming.
Probably best to wait for the W2s to arrive. They're due to you in the next few days.
Not a chance. Tax brackets are not linear with income. People who make under a certain amount don't even pay any income tax. You need to report your total income to have any idea how much income tax you should have paid.
If i earn $36,000 annually, should I be paying nearly $1,000 surrounded by taxes monthly rotten of my paycheck?
I am in California.I thought this be really weird.
Hope you guys can relieve! Thanks.
Answers: Sounds about right.
You are probably within the 20-25% federal tax bracket. Throw on Social Security, and California State income duty. Both of those combined can easily pocket another 10%.
That's 30-35%, which would be almost 1k a month.
The good report, is that with the current export tax rate cuts, you should be getting a refund.
Are you chitchat about your network check or just your income rates withholding?
NET CHECK:
SS = 6.2%
Medicare = 1.9%
Fed income tax?? perchance 20% or so?
State income tax?? give or take a few 6% or so?
total = 34% = $1020/mo
You can claim more exemptions if you are entitled to them and have smaller quantity $ taken out for income tax, but don't discharge too little -- you don't want to get stuck near a fax tax bill subsequent year.
