Tax cross-examine?

my husband recently started a business and we are on parliament assistance. I have hear that you can only go and get credit for 2 children and we have 4. I wasn't going to claim but 2 of them since we didn't draw from credit for the other 2. My question is, will I carry into trouble with medicaid if I solely claim 2 of my children? Please I know I can call a due consultant but I cannot afford one so I need support.

Answers: It looks like you are confusing two separate and distinct issues: Exemptions and the Earned Income Credit.

You can and should claim exemptions for adjectives of your children. There is no limit to the number of children that you can claim exemptions for.

The EIC is remunerated based upon the number of qualify children you have planned on your tax return. The three level are zero, one and two or more. The amount of the EIC raise as the number of children does but stops rising once you reach two or more. That's what whomever you be talking to be thinking of. But as noted above, you can ALWAYS claim exemptions for ALL of your children and you absolutely should do so!

What do i do if i filed my taxes and then got another w2 that i was unaware of?

Answers: It is a very simple matter to simply file an amended return. If you filed online with turbotax.com, just log in to your account, and you can go ahead and do an amendment. If you mailed in a form 1040, you simply go get a form 1040X, fill it in with the new information, and send it in. No problem.
You were not unaware you were rushing it to get the refund. Contact IRS at 1-8OO-829-1040 to ask them how to proceed, they might be sending you a letter telling you there is income missing from your return.

What is the criteria for claiming an Earned Income Tax Credit?

I have a mother-in-law who is completely disabled and receive SSI disability checks as her sole source of income - can she file for an EIC? Thank you for your assistance!!

Answers: No, she is not eligible. There are a little qualifications for the EIC but the first one that disqualifies her is the requirement to own EARNED income, just as the term Earned Income Credit implies. SSI is not earn income, so if it was her simply source of income she is ineligible right from the start.
No she can't get EIC. There are several criteria. First of adjectives, you have to hold earned income - and SSI isn't earn income. Then there are income borders that must be met to be eligible - they vary depending on the number of qualify children and whether you file a unified return or not.
