For Kentucky, check the site below and see if they'll wallet them for you. Some states have their own file system, which saves you money.
I received 2 W-2's for indistinguishable profits but from different states.do I report both?
When determining my AGI I'm supposed to add adjectives box 1 amounts from all W-2's I capture right? If I do that...I have two W-2's (1 for DE, 1 for NJ) for like $ amount and I'm positive are for the same yield (when I got a trial job and worked surrounded by NJ even though I live in DE). So...if I'm totalling all box 1's I'm showing a highly developed AGI than it should be. Is my company wrong in sending me 2 W-2's? I'm not sure what to do here...contact my company and request individual one W-2.or is there two b/c I live surrounded by one state and work in another and I'm supposed to lately know not to add the yield in again? I'm really confused. Please obligeAnswers: You would file a state return for the state you worked within. You may want to contact your employer and ask them to clarify the duplicate W-2s.
I moved in the middle of 2007 from NY to OR - do I need to file both state returns?
Answers: And as if that's not bad enough, when I moved in 2006 from Illinois to North Carolina, I couldn't e-file in either state because of the move and both of them (don't know if this is true everywhere) make you go through these long formulas to calculate what percentage of the year you were there, then adjusted the taxes accordingly. (I'm still convinced both states took me for a few bucks.)
Anyway, this is one time it might be worth it to get a tax preparer or software to do your taxes.
Yes as part-year residents. You may also have to file a city return for NY
