I worked for a company as an independent contractor, never jam-packed out W-9, Is that work valid?
I worked for about 4 months, never packed out a W-9, have not received 1099 as of however and today is last afternoon for companies to file 1096 (I am an accounting tech) and quit, is that work valid? should i hang about longer to see if they contact me, etc?Answers: Aren't you really asking if you have to report the income or not since it "seems" to hold been forgotten by the company?
Yes, you report the income.
You worked, you get paid, this is income to you.
You profile your taxes from your records. The 1099-Misc is a courtesy reminder so you don't forget to include that income. You don't obligation the actually 1099-Misc form to wallet.
Whether you get a 1099 or not, you are required to report your income on your charge return on a schedule C or C-EZ. If you don't receive a 1099, you can of late report it from your own records of what you be paid.
