The Irs took my compensation money and did not dispense me an explanation of why it have be kept.?

Does anyone have any suggestions

Answers: Do enjoy student loans in non-attendance? Have you claimed dependents that were not yours? Did you not settle up taxes owed from a previous year? Has someone stolen your identity and not paid their taxes on it? There are probably a million more question to be asked! LOL Good luck With That!

You are intitled to know why they kept your refund. Do you owe ancient child support or have a pronouncement against you? Them are typically the 2 main reason they hold your check.

Call the IRS and they will tell you why they kept it. I'm surprised that you didnt receive a notification in the communication. If you haven't, it's prob coming.
Try the IRS's website at:

http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0...

More likely than not you own an overdue student loan, past due taxes, child support arrearages, or similar debt to the affairs of state that is self offset.

You can initiate a trace or ring up the refund hotline to get hold of details. The IRS taxpayer advocate may also be capable of help if you strike out at the repayment site/center.

The IRS's Taxpayer Advocate can be reached (a) 877-777-4778. Ask the creature who helps you to complete a Form 911 to transcription your request for assistance. The process takes some time but is customarily effective within getting an answer to your questions. IRS Pub 1546 give a listing (by state, city) of local IRS Taxpayer Advocates if you live close by one and would prefer a face-to-face visit.

Good luck

Can I claim my boyfriend on my taxes?

My boyfriend and I lived together all concluding year and he had no situation the entire time. I supported him. We live in nevada, can i claim him as my dependent and can i also claim herald of household?
Also, his brother just moved contained by with us, (his brother is a 17 year dated student) Can I claim him, if his mother dosnt?

Answers: You can claim your boyfriend as a "qualifying relative" if adjectives of the following conditions apply (some do, but I'm stating them all):

1) he lived with you the entire year
2) he made smaller number than $3,400.00 in income regardless of the source second year
3) No one else can claim him as a dependent on their tax return
4) you provided more than 50% of his support for the year

If these conditions apply you can claim him on your charge return. And if he qualifies as a dependent, you can claim manager of household. You can't, however, claim his brother as at least one of the above conditions are not met for him.

Good luck

P.S. And no, the character does not have to be a blood relative to be considered a "qualified relative".

Forms that came within the mail wise saying TAX DOCUMENT:
