Help beside W-2 form?
ok i'm tyring to file my taxes and i'm using the 1040EZ form. i am married, but my husband is not currently working. i can't put single, so do i put married and file jointly, even tho he's gone down?? thanks!Answers: It does not event if only one spouse have income to file married file jointly. Except contained by very unusual circumstances, it's best for married couples to record jointly.
You should almost other file married and in somebody`s company. This almosta always results within lower taxes. It doesn't matter who works or who doesn't, when you report jointly, adjectives income and tax liability are 'shared' between two race at a lower tax rate than if respectively person file separate.
How should my husband record his taxes?
I did not work last year but my husband did. We are doing his taxes online. I read that we should database married joint, but next what should I put when they want my w2 information. What about married seperate? Head of household. Can he claim me, or am I an exemption? Also, I tried on turbotax and they never asked me for any w2 information later it went to federal review and said he made nought, we owe nothing and we obtain nothing. I get out of that and now I want to try h&r block.Answers: a married couple can directory a joint return even if solely one of them had an income. they do not ask for your specific w-2's when you directory. just for the total income and proof of income for the couple (or family) so only filing his will be slightly sufficient. yes he can and should claim you as a dependent and claim the deduction for you. contained by most cases for a married couple the filing pooled return will have a better levy rate in the rates tables for you.
I only just read somewhere on here that H&R block is scamming people this year,
I file with Turbotax and enjoy no problems, I dont work either
I enjoy been told that you can he can individual claim head of household if you enjoy kids.
married file integrated
or married file separate if you worked at adjectives. And don't forget to take cuts for donations to the K-F thrift stores.
amount it both ways
How much do you obligation to trade name formerly they start taking out federal taxes?
Okay I asked a previous question in relation to my W-2's yesterday, and I got a few honest answers. My last employer didn't withhold federal taxes which worries me. One of the answers said that I may not hold made enough. I be only at the career a few months and made under 5 thousand. Am I within the clear? Or do i need to be worried? I don't realize how this happened. How much would I own to pay posterior if I am not in the clear?Answers: Your employer should other take Federal Taxes, FICA, and State Taxes - unless they are treating you as a contractor - surrounded by which case they should grant you a 1099 - or they paid you below the table with bread as a casual worker.
Depending on your total income and what you owe the IRS, you can draw from charged a penalty/interest for failing to pay estimated taxes throughout the year.
If you're getting a return - it wont' be an issue.
You need to cram out your 1040 to know the exact answer.
