You should database your Income Tax Return because with a child, you'll be entitled to some EITC (Earned Income Tax Credits) as in good health as the money you had withheld by your employer.

I don't know adjectives the specifics of your situation since you didn't share them, but I'd guess that you're probably going to be entitled to a refund of any income import tax that was withheld from your job, as well as the earn income credit. You'll probably get a sizeable check wager on.

My fiancés ex claimed their son on her taxes... we be the primary charge givers to their son ultimate year.?

My fiancé went to wallet his taxes and they were DENIED due to his ex claiming their son on her taxes! She literally come to see her son two weekends out of a month. He lives with us, we repay all his childcare, al his food, and medical. she does not reward any child support to us... what do we do now? Is nearby a way for us to contact the IRS and re wallet?

Answers: You can dispute it with the IRS. If they be married and divorced make sure in that was nil agreed upon with claiming the child within court. If nothing be agreed upon in court. Then she can not claim the child. If they be not married then she can not claim the child, lawfully. The child fails the question paper of a dependent for her. The child must live more than 6 months out of the year with a caregiver since becoming a dependent of the caregiver. In this case it sounds close to it could be fraud. In that case she could go and get fined. Either call the IRS or write them. State your situation and they will whip care of it.
Contact the IRS direct and ask this ask to them. The IRS number is 8OO-829-1040. I know this happens adjectives the time.

(Also, you should consider suing her for child support. It works both ways. In my opinion, she should be paying child support.)

Good luck.
What does the court lay down say?
If that's clear as to physical custody and tariff benis then you'll enjoy to contact the IRS.
If it ISN'T then you'll hold to go thru the courts first
You can treatise file your taxes. Then the irs will audit both of you and distribute it to the one qualified to take it. If she get her refund since the IRS finishes they will bill her or withhold from her check next year.
