Answers: HoH (Head of Household) is one and only available to you if you were separated for the ending 6 months of 2007, so you're stuck with married file joint or married file separate.

I wish I could be of more sustain.
You file lead of household and claim your daughter. You will get hindmost a good amount.

He files team leader of household and claims the two sons. He will get more spinal column than you.

You do not have to report with him. And if your arranged to do your taxes, you can do them online at turbotax.com and you can start it for free and if you can afford to pay for it online you can efile it right from your own computer. And you will know how much you will bring back. If you efile it from your computer you can hold your tax return hindmost to you within 9-14 days. That is next to direct deposit. If you have them messages you a check it will take 2-4 weeks. 1040EZ is free, But sounds to me close to you need the regular 1040 next to the child. I am not sure. But turbo tax walk you through ever single step and gets you the most deduction and the most back for your return.

I desire you luck.
I have be seperated for 9 months of 2007 and spoke to the IRS. They told me to file HOH and claim the children living beside me. They told me that if you are seperated for at least partially of the year then contained by their eyes you are unmarried even if you are only seperated. I hold my own home and support myself away from my husband.

If a nanny made under $400 within total income last year (IL), would she be considered "tax-exempt"? What if her husband worked a full-time assignment during this time period?

Answers: She would not. An example of a tax-exempt keeping provider is if your child is in a non-profit daycare.

What all can you use as a tax write off?

Answers: Download the instructions for form 1040 and for schedule A at irs.gov - it will give you a fairly comprehensive list of deductions and credits
Depends on your own personal needs there are so many you actually need a CPA or certified tax preparer to do it for you and filing it electronicly even you pay a little more you can get it in as little as 10 days.
