Answers: Employers are required by regulation to send W-2's to every hand every single year. However, you may not have received it all the same because they don't have to communication them until 1/31. They might not have mail them out yet (and most employer wait until the awfully last minute).

PS It's January 30th - tomorrow is the second day they hold to mail W-2's.
They own to have them within the mail by 1/31, so you should return with it soon as long as they have your current address.

Could the employer forget to send the w2 ?

Yes, it happens.

Contact your employer and ask about it.

Good luck.
They could. They could also be fined $50 per instance.

If you lose the W-2, they must send you a replacement on request, but may charge for it.
Anything is possible, but it's not very likely unless they've gone out of business or something.

Give it another few days, then call them around the middle of next week.
Employers are supposed to have them sent out by Jan 31...contact them to ck the status.

Do they have your current address?

How can i get the most out of my tax return?

Do youy mean the money you are getting back, or the forms that you have to file. Your questions is somewhat ambiguous.
