Taxes Questions and Answers

I'am single with 2 kids and made under 10,000. dollars do I quilfiy for the tax rebate check?

Answers: I believe that you have to have earned more than $3000 to qualify.

Rebate of $600 for you and $300 per dependent.

How ever don't go spending it yet... The SENATE has NOT passed it and they have modified what congress approved.

Last I heard they were considering dropping the Rebate yet again to $500..
Yes as long as you had some portion of earned income reported to the IRS last year. You should receive $600 for yourself plus an additional $300 for each child you can legally claim as a dependent.

Should i File?

Before anything , Yes i already asked this question i only just need some more answers. ok so i one and only made $8,116 this past year if i folder taxes and my second box says taxes withheld are $256.33 but i claim my younger brother who is below 18 how much would i be getting back? could i claim him eventhough i didnt manufacture more than 10 grand? Answers: yes do what i do . i got "people" pinch it to them 8o)
You can only claim him if you provided more than partially of his support. Since she did not make any money, I would say-so your claim, being that you lived contained by the same home, is probably lawful.

With your income, whether or not you claim him,you are also eligible for the Earned Income Credit. You will probably get backbone all you put surrounded by PLUS the EIC payment.

If you mom would tolerate you and it's honest, you could also claim your mom as a qualifying relative. She won't work for the EIC, but it might also increase your compensation.

I own a big duty grill so please read the details!?

My brother was self-employed ultimate year. He earned 11,000 dollars helping to build a garage. He have NO business expenses. He is single and has 2 dependents. His total income for the year be only 11,000. Is it purely me or does 1,555 for taxes taken off of his 4,090 EIC give the impression of being like seriously? For 2 dep. and such low income shouldn't he have gotten closely more back?

Answers: He isn't paying any income charge - what he's paying the 1555 for is self employment tax, for social indemnity and medicare. If he had a W-2 undertaking, half of that would own been deduct from his paychecks, and his employer would have salaried the other half.
I agree next to Just me, take a look at agenda C and there you will fine other option. Or you can always try H&R block or Jackson Hewitt as they enjoy much experience and know how to accurately file your taxes. Have a great afternoon!
