Filed Taxes Forgot 1 mo W2?

Ok i filed my taxes for this year and i be certain i have only worked at the one company for concluding year, well i have worked at another company for like roughly speaking 3 weeks or so in 07 past starting this new charge. Anyways i forgot to include the W2. I was informed i should report a Amended Return do you think because its individual for like 3 weeks that it will be a enormously big deal? I doubt i made much more than in the region of 300-400 dollars

Answers: You can timely correct a mistake of this kind in need penalty if you folder your amended return (Form 1040X) before April 15, 2008.

Wait until your discount is processed (but not later than April 15) to amend your return and salary any additional amount due.
Do you enjoy the W-2 from the other job?

and Yes, you will call for to file an amended return. The money you earn at the other job will be reported to the IRS.
It's not in the order of the $ but filing accurate history both for Federal & State Taxes. File an amended return, it's pretty easy. If u file online with one of the govt free services, it's not a big buy and sell to amend online.

Don't wait and incure any penalty. But it has to be done in the past end of toll filing... or obtain extension. Make 2008 the year u organize your transcription keeping by storing everything in one place. U could even buy a cheap index directory system to keep your collection in but even a manilla folder is better than zilch. Keep your paystubs and always double ck next to the soc sec admin that your records r correct every year.

When I be a kid, an employer took out taxes etc but then underfile beside soc sec shorting me... thanks to my wage stubs I could prove them wrong. It took awhile but Soc Sec corrected my work wages.

If you are a student in MA do you get back all of your state and federal taxes?

Answers: That depends on how much you made, and if someone else can claim you. When I was in school I got all my taxes back, and believe me that $60 return was used on something very studious, and not parties. Promise.
DEPENDING ON HOW YOU FILLED OUT YOU W-4 FORM YOU SHOULD!!

Obtaining a copy of my W2 form?

My employer is out of town until next month and I can not find my W2 form [2007]. Is at hand ANY WAY I can get a copy online somehow so that I can do my taxes?

Answers: Unless your employer participate in an online W-2 sharing program, you can't buy your W-2s online. Take a look at the below website to see whether your employer participates.

Otherwise, if you can't capture in contact beside your employer, you may have to dawdle until they come back.

This is assuming they own already sent you your W-2s. If they haven't, they have until tomorrow to enjoy them postmarked by, so you may receive them in the subsequent few days. The above information is on the assumption the original W-2 is lost.
So did you already receive the ingenious W2 and lost it since you are wanting a copy?
If the company you work for has a HR personal ask them if the W2 are online. If not you hold to wait for your employer to return.
Your employer have until Jan 31, 2008 to have the imaginative W2 in the mail(postmarked)

IRS does not own the W2 in their files even so, theIRS will not be able to provide copies of 2007 W2's until after June or July 2008.
IF you don't receive your W2 from your employer by 02-15-2008 and you enjoy contact the employer several times, then you may contact IRS at 1-8OO-829-1040,
You hold until April 15 to file your taxes, you still own time. It's just easier and smaller number hectic to wait for your boss to go and get back, unless you're dying for a settlement..I know I am :)

Good Luck!
No there is no place on file that I know of, where you can seize that information.

I would try to call whomever handle the payroll for your employer. They should have the info.

If that doesn't work, and you can't dally for your boss to comeback, then you can name the IRS at 1-8OO-829-1040. They have a copy of your withholding statement. It will still filch a couple weeks for them to get it to you.

UPDATE:

To the uhhmmmmm 'CPA/ Payroll/ Account Specialist', who said that the IRS doesn't own a copy of your w-2, with adjectives do respect, that is total bunk.

If the IRS didn't own a copy of ones w-2, then how on mud could people e-file in need attaching a copy of the statement.

As a former business owner who had similar to 35 full time employees, I know we have to send copies of our workers w-2's to the IRS. Now they are usually filed electronically .

Plus I hold personally call and ordered w-2's from the IRS.

So there...lol
There are a variety of errors in other answers, but agree to me summarize the law.

If you ask your employer for a copy, they are required to bequeath it you, but may charge you for it. They have 30 days from the date of the request. If they deny, you may then notify the IRS, and folder a form 4852 with your tariff return (no earlier than April 15) indicating the correct amounts. If you are surrounded by a state with a state income charge, there may be a similar form, or the 4852 may be all right.

The IRS _DOES NOT_ (yet) have a copy of the W-2. Your employer wishes to send it to the Social Security Administration by February 28. Eventually, a copy get to the IRS. You may request a copy of it from the IRS after June 2009, I believe, but that won't do you any good very soon.
the library. a credit union. the internet. post organization?

i misunderscanned the question. i should be more reliable about my answers? haha.
you can contact the IRS theyg et a copy as resourcefully and might be able to distribute you a copy.
