MY wife makes 34,000.00 this year but she have the same amount of federal taxes rewarded she makes 20.00 dollars an hour. Can someone put in the picture me should I be expecting to get subsidise some of that money why do I pay so much more taxes when at the conclusion of the year I make so much smaller number than my wife?

Answers: because u dont even work all year and you wife does
Your with-holdings are determined by the amount of respectively check, not your annual pay. So if you clear $45.00 and work an average work week of 40 hrs that equals $1800, while your wife who works the same 40 hours solitary gets $800 dollars, so smaller number is withheld each week from your wife's, and more from yours. So you see they are withholding base on your weekly check, they (hr/payroll) doesn't take into details that your only working for 8 months or doesn`t matter what it is you work.

Hope this helps...as far as what you'll bring back back I can't read out...too many other factor in doing taxes...

2008 Stimulus pkg. What would our rebate be?

IF the package is finalized, beside the details we have very soon, what amount would my husband and I qualify for based on these details?

We are married, no children, and will directory jointly contained by 2007, despite me having zilch income in 2007 due to an injury. He made 75K used to gross, due to being rotten for a period of time next to me.
Are we still considered a married couple that would qualify for the $1,200 rebate since we made less than 150K as a couple? OR, since he be the only one beside income in 2007, is he considered an individual whoi would single qualify for the $600 rebate? I find this confusing, because if they start working on the checks in March, as reported, we will not own even filed our 2007 Federal return by that date, so how would they even know?
So, since we are fling collectively, yet just one of us had income contained by 2007, where do we tip out in the rebate amounts. I KNOW, zilch is final yet, I'm simply wondering about their criteria w/ as much as we know at this point. Thanks

Answers: It doesn't business if only one spouse have income. If you file mutually, with your horizontal of income, you will qualify for the $1200 tax rebate.

Since the bill have not yet be enacted, the date of the rebate checks is anyone's guess, but May seem more likely than March.
Since you're file jointly, $150,000 is the sunhat, so you'll get $1,200.

They will START working on the checks surrounded by March, mostly getting the early filers. Truthfully, they probably won't finish until May, when everybody will hold had their return within for a month. I wouldn't expect the rebate check until June at the very earliest.
