Stimulus Package?
Im 19, and grossed 28k last year but still live at home. My mother still claims me as a dependant. Will I win a check? Or will she get an secondary 300$ for claiming me as a dependant? Thanks.Answers: If your parents claim you as a dependent, you will be ineligible for the rebate, but you may still benefit under the plan.
While the rebate depends on your 2007 status and income, it is truly a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, in 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to not anything percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.
So if you have taxable income contained by 2008, you will see a tax cut when you report in 2009.
No you won't take anything. look under exclusions at this knit.

People who are claimed by others are not allowed the rebate. Sorry.
However, I would seriously look into why your mother claims you. She may not be allowed to. In decree to claim you, you would have to provide smaller quantity than 50% of your own support. Are you saying that near $28,000 of income, you don't provide 50% of your own support?? It may be possible if you take adjectives that money and sock it away in a reserves account, but if you spend most of it, your mother would enjoy to spend even more for your support. If I were an IRS agent and I saw that you made $28,000 and your mother made smaller number than $100,000 or even $120,000, I would audit the situation.
Do I enjoy to directory a due return if I'm retired and living on nil but Social Security?
If I'm retired and living on nothing but Social Security, am I required to database a tax return surrounded by order to receive the excise rebate?Answers: If you have no other income and your SS is $50,000 per year or smaller quantity, then no, you do not inevitability to file a federal levy return.
If you do have other income (interest, dividends, having a bet winnings, etc.), you may have to profile depending on how much they are. Basic rule of thumb is if your income plus 1/2 of your SS payments are greater than $25,000, you may have to directory.
HOWEVER...
There is this new tariff rebate that is coming. If you engineer more than $3,000 per year on SS and you want to be part of the rebate, you must report a 2007 tax return. It is flowing to do. Simply print up a 1040 form (see link below), spread in your entitle, mailing address, SS number. If you are married, enter your spouse's describe and SSN. Check box 1 if single or 2 if married. Check box 6a. Check box 6b if married. Enter a 1 on 6d if single and a 2 if married. Then enter your Social Security income for the year in box 20a. No involve to put anything in 20b. On the bottom of the second page, sign, date, enter "Retired" as occupation. Do matching for your spouse if married.
Mail the form to the IRS by April 15th. The second link I provided have the mailing address which depends on which state you live contained by.
Don't pay someone else to do this for you.it is too comfortable.
Good luck. :)
Most of us just inevitability to file and loaf. "Fill out your 2007 return as usual," says Scharin.
Mark Luscombe, principal federal export tax analyst for the tax software and publishing company CCH, say some folks, however, might be more proactive.
"A few people who otherwise wouldn't wallet might want to consider doing so this year," he says. "By file, you're saying 'Here's my return. I enjoy no taxes due, but by the way, please register that I have $3,000 within earned income.' It's a process of waving your appendage to make sure you go and get your rebate."
Both Luscombe and Scharin expect the IRS and Social Security
Administration to work together to find eligible rebate recipients who don't hold to file. The unsullied law give the IRS $202 million, the Treasury Department $64 million and the Social Security Administration $31 million in auxiliary funds to administer the rebate program.
Where can I shift to carry my taxes without risk and properly done as a stripper/independent contractor?
I have not kept a copy of how much money/tips I've made over the past six months. However, I do enjoy all of my receipts from paying my fees to the club.Would a full-size company such as H&R block, for example, be able to relieve me?
Answers: I don't think a national company would be contained by your best interest. Its my understanding they are far too conservative. They prefer doing the excise returns for folks who prefer doing the short form - with little or no deduction for expenses.
I THINK your best bet is to get an independent accounting firm or CPA - someone who will be aggressive within your best interests and on your behalf.
Ask the other entertainers who they use.
Ask the owners of the club who they use.
If you own other contacts at other clubs, ask those folks.
Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

Yes, to be exact my real second name!
They can individual do taxes based on the documents you provide.
If you don't enjoy the documents, they are no better at it than you are.
Take your bank statements and your credit card bills.
You MUST come up near a total for the income you received. The club has done you a disservice by claiming you are self-employed and shifting the burden of adjectives record keeping to you.
When you capture audited by the IRS, they will do an analysis of what you've been spending to estimate your total income. You might as resourcefully do it know and make sure you report for this income. If you know that you can make $500 on a well-mannered night and you worked 150 night, your income should be at least 75,000...
I would be confused to go anywhere and own my taxes done professionally if I had your occupation. Maybe you should grasp a new post to make things rather easier.
