How do I report a correction to my 2006 tariff return?

We have a small business and report a Form 1065. We just realize that last year we forgot to discount property taxes for a property we own. Is there a bearing to file a correction or reduce by that expense this year? If so, does it have to be done on this year's return or separately? Thanks!

Answers: You would wallet an amended (or corrected) return for both Federal and State returns -- even for your business.

Why dose the irs say i will have my money by the 12th if thay only deposit on friday thats tuesday?

Answers: Good question. Mine says I'll have mine by the 5th, which is also a Tuesday. Are you by any chance getting a error message from the page saying your information is wrong?

By the way, please take a look at my newest question - I could really use your help. Thanks.
My direct deposit day is the same as yours 2/12/08. I hope this is true. :)

What happen if I claim 3 exemptions?

My friend told me that it is legal to claim 3 exemptions on my federal excise return for the year. She said it would mean that I would owe smaller amount than 300.00 on my next return, but I would return with more on my checks. Is that true? Legal? Why?

Answers: It sounds like you are chitchat about your W-4 not your actual due return.

The W-4 is a guideline as to what your employer will withhold for your taxes every paycheck. You can technically claim as many exceptions as you want. The more exemptions you claim the smaller quantity they take out respectively check. However, if at the end of the year you owe more to the IRS you could be subject to penalty and interest for the amount you under withheld. But if that amount is solely $300 then you would be fine.
As far as I know the exemptions you are referring to on a federal rates return is known as "Real individuals exemptions"
Unless you have a house, all you can claim is yourself.
