Head of household press?

i am married and have 2 kids, both me and my husband worked within 2007, if i claim as joint we carry back 2000 but if i put him as principal of household we get spinal column 5000, my name dissapears on form but my w2 stays? can we record this way (im using turbotax)


Answers: No.

If you are married and live next to your spouse, you can not claim "Head of Household". Doing so to claim a bigger refund could be construed as fraud.
You cant directory head of household neither can he you own to be unmarried.

How much you get per a child this year for taxes.?

Married but file seperate?

My wife and I have be seperated for over 2 years but never divorced. Do I still have to directory married but filing seperate or can I wallet as single? Please give your recommendation for answering this question.


Answers: Unless you go before a arbiter and got a "separate keeping decree" (eg, pay her alimony) you must folder as MFS.

If you are still legally married next your ONLY options are Married Filing Separately or Married Filing Jointly. If you can agree to, file a joint return is other preferable.

If either or both of you enjoy custody of a child or other close blood or family relative you MAY be capable of file as Head of Household.

In any event, you may NOT database as Single, with the sole exception to that rule one if you have a trial separation under a law of divorce or separate maintenance. You'd know if you have that.
