The IRS have agreed your return. Due to a prior year issue or other duty the IRS is indicating ..
I filled my taxes yesterday (2/1/08) (at hr block) and to my surprise I be not approved for a RAL; I thought that this was strange, b/c this was the first time I be denied the RAL.Anyway, I recieved a call put a bet on from HR block today saying my discount was denied due to federal reason; they couldnt provide me w/ any info as to why. So I checked the status of my return on their website. I got the following message when I put within my social
"The IRS has standard your return. Due to a prior year issue or other obligation the IRS is indicating that your compensation may be delayed. Please call the Treasury Department at 1-8OO-304-3107 for more details."
So I call the above number and it was an automated system--I get a recording saw that my return would be offset b/c of a student loan I have through AES.
I have grant arrangements on this loan (it is in collections) I didnt deliberate they would still garnish my return? I'm positive that this have to be what it is. Any advice?
Answers: Not really much you can do. They are gonna lug your money.
Should have salaried your debt. If it is not enough to cover it, they will hold next years to, or side dishes your wages, or attach your bank accounts.
"(it is surrounded by collections)"
Bingo.
The refund will be applied to the student loan. If the settlement is more than the loan, you'll get the rest as a compensation. If it's less, you in recent times decreased the remaining symmetry of the loan, but the offset does not count as a monthly contribution.
The good report, you just stopped paying greatly of interest on the previously bigger loan balance.
I recieved one and the same message only hr block told me it's a moment ago a delay not an counter. I also spoke with the I.R.S and they said within wasn't anything in my wallet to indicate to them why I should have any problem recieving a settlement. That I didn't owe any money from any source.Never the less I haven't recieved my return yet and I remunerated $360.00 for the !-2 day ral. Has anyone ever gotten this message in the past but recieved their refund soon after?
Will I receive my direct deposit compensation from IRS on confirmed date?
I just checked the IRS website "Where's My Refund?" -- my direct deposit date is 2/12/2008. Will I catch my refund my this date or even up to that time? Thank you. :DAnswers: I have used direct deposit from the IRS for years. They own always be on time beside no delays.
do NOT write checks in the past you actually see it within your account.
IRS response apparatus isn't 100% correct because of reprogramming required by law change in Dec.
I wouldn't start writing checks against that picture until making sure the money's really in at hand first.
The government, any organization can be experts at promises. Just don't hold them to it. 8^)
But you were smart is asking for direct deposit. At smallest that way you're not also depending on the U.S. Postal Service, to also be "On-Time".
Whats the rush? Do you live paycheck to paycheck? If not what is the rush? Good God.
