I live surrounded by Missouri, but convey money monthly to my mother contained by Mexico to support her household? Can I discount that?
I am a US citizen living in Kansas City. However, my mom lives within Torreon, Mexico, where I own the home she lives within. I send her between $500 and $1000 a month to support the home. Could I claim that income as a conjecture, or file as leader of household, even though I don't live there, but I own the home, and my mom lives near, supported by my income? There is an exception for parents who do not live in equal household as the taxpayer. I appreciate any help I can bring.Regards,
AT
Answers: You may claim her as a dependent, but may not deduct payments you formulate (other than her medical expenses, mortgage on the house, and other expenses that would be deductible if it were a break home.) You may need her to profile some paperwork with a form W-7 to generate an ITIN ((I) Taxpayer Identification Number) if she's not a US citizen beside a Social Security Number, but the rules clearly allow a dependent parent to live in Canada or Mexico.
yes, your correct.(parents dont hold to live in your home to qualify as a dependent) but to know how to claim your mother as a dependent she would need a ss# or itin #

How do I formulate sure I own adjectives of my W2 forms ?
I cannot remember all of the little eccentric jobs and temp job i have done end year, how can I make sure that I hold all of my W2 forms ? (Is nearby a record near the IRS that I can pull)Answers: The IRS will receive all of the assorted W-2's from the Social Security Department and compile a list per taxpayer. It might nick up to a year to be processed into the system. Best bet is to use the W-2's that are available right now, directory a return and check back inside a year and file and amended return on Form 1099 X.
The IRS won't hae their copy of the W-2s until unsettled May or June.
If you can't remember all of your job, wait until 2/15 to report.
Your employers will report your income to the IRS, but you will hold no access to that record.
Employers own until Jan 31 to POSTMARK your W-2's to you. If you wait until behind time next week, you should own them all by later.
