Answers: If you are a dependent of your father, you cannot claim yourself. Just check the box on your return that states that someone else can claim you as a dependent.

You single need to directory 1040EZ, and your state tax return form if required (if your state have a state income tax).

You should receive all of the taxes you compensated in hindmost as a refund. Good luck.
you can't claim yourself because your dad can claim you (whether he chooses to or not)

you other file a 1040, ALWAYS
At $3050 of income, you will own a difficult time showing how you supported yourself (especially when you add within the value of living near your dad at his house). Therefore, you are his dependent.

When you file the 1040EZ, indicate that yes, someone else can claim you. You will still receive a refund of adjectives federal income taxes paid because you didn't trade name more than $5350.
You should use 1040EZ. If your dad can claim you, you cannot also claim your personal exemption, but since your income is below the standard deduction amount, you will still achieve back adjectives the federal income tax you compensated, so your refund will not be artificial (and your dad's will be bigger!)

Answers: FORM5695 Residential Energy Credits here is a relation for you
Looks like a 5965, "Residential Energy Credits".

(Found this answer within about 3 second by going to www.irs.gov and typing "energy credits" within their search box.)
When you hint that Form 5695 that the other person pointed you to, be aware of the rules for your window deduction. The instructions for splash 2d tell you to: "...Enter the amounts you remunerated for exterior windows (including any storm window installed with such exterior windows) and skylights that stumble upon or exceed the criteria established by the IECC for the climate zone in which these components be installed."

Do your windows join or exceed that criteria?
Assuming your windows have the energy star stickers on them, they should qualify (unlike furnaces, the credit's criteria matched the star criteria). If you received any rebate or credit from your state or utility company, remember to subtract that good point.

The windows textile cost, up to $2000 can be claimed on the form for a maximum credit of $200.
